Things We Love: Dark Bunny Tees!

Today I’m celebrating, and recommending, the rather wonderful Dark Bunny Tees and their original design exploration that, since 2009, have been bringing film fans and movie aficionados of all genres a little bit of their own in-world fictional goodness to movie aficionados across the UK and beyond!

Started by illustrator Alex Chenery, we’re told the idea for the business grew from his passion for both creating designs and his love of film. The past eight years have been good to him as well as they’ve gradually become a well-known name in the awesome T-Shirt business but he’s also gained respects of both people who love movies and those inside in the industry, and quite right to. Because of that success, Dark Bunny Tees is now a three-man company with the addition of Matt as their customer service manager (always swift to help in my experience) and Tim who runs their in-house prints shop.

As I’m a lone wolf here at Critical Popcorn, I completely understand – and admire in DBT’s case – the passion and hard work that goes into doing something you really enjoy and Dark Bunny Tees shares the good stuff with original, interesting ideas and you too can wear them to show your understanding and appreciation! So, with that in mind, I wanted to share a few of the designs that I like and hopefully inspire others to take a look and pick one up, or any other that takes your fancy.

One last point, you’re also discovering them at a good time for bonus T-Shirt ordering possibilities because they’ve collaborated with Batman 66 Labels (<<VISIT THEM) for a classic design, from the 1966-68 Batman TV Series no less, with a super smart ‘Henchman’ Tee which is below and bloody great.

Have a look at some of my favourites below, click the link to order it (Ah go on) or head here to view all their other products!

  1. Michael Keaton: A great actor cast in
the original blockbuster movie Batman. He reinvented the superhero for a new generation.Although he didnt have the appearance of a superhero his Bruce Wayne looks were brilliant. With his black rubber armor his dark caped crusader portrayal will never be beaten.

  2. Well, definitely not me. No one has ever seen me and Batman in the same place at the same time, I admit, but that’s just coincidence. Ha ha ha.

Oh, actor! Sorry. It’s a three-way tie between West, Bale, and Lego.

  3. Adam West. He didn’t brood over his murdered parents. He had a job to do, which was solve crimes, fight bad guys, and seduce beautiful women. He was calm in an age of chaos. And he danced. Oh, how he danced.

  4. Burgess Meredith – the original Penguin. Mainly as this was the Penguin I grew up with! I loved the shuffle & the “waaaaaack waaaaack” sneer!

  5. I love Christian Bale – he’s great actor in everything he does, but also I love the dark knight trilogy the best out of all the batman films

  6. my 20 year old (autistic) son, loves the cartoon joker – i did watch the original series in the 70s and always thought catwoman was pretty cool

  7. I love the voice of Kevin Conroy as Batman so I guess he’d be my favourite actor. It’s just the way I imagine Batman would sound when I read the comics.

  8. Michael Keaton will always be Batman for me as portrayed perfectly the almost Jekyll and Hyde essence so loved in the comics.
