Woody Harrelson‘s career has become one of those favourites to take a look through and see all the different types of styles, genres and people he’s explored. Wilson is another of Woody really letting go, as he stars as the title character who is a lonely, neurotic and very honest middle-aged misanthrope who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern), and then tries to get some happiness after learning he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara) he has never met.
While I really like this red-band trailer (NSFW!) it does have a Little Miss Sunshine vibe going on and offers that feeling of how we all love people who don’t stay a part of normality on-screen but you probably wouldn’t want them sitting next to you in real life! But, saying that, this is the purpose of film in truth, the chase, to expand and learn as you go along.
Wilson is set to debut at the London Sundance Film Festival and Craig Johnson‘s comedy will open in select cinemas on June 9.

Directed by Craig Johnson, produced by Mary Jane Skalski and Jared Ian Goldman and starring Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Judy Greer, Cheryl Hines and Isabella Amara.
