It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since we had our first look at Duncan Jones new movie Mute but this first trailer is really impressive, and sets us off into a world with all kinds of neo-noir mystery. It premieres on Netflix from 23 February, and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux.
This tightly-knit ball of intrigue is surely a clear indication of Netflix’s continual rise from a simple streaming service, to series producers, film creators and beyond. With the likes of Alex Garland’s Annihilation also coming up this year, there could be a huge shift in the industry depending on their success because it might alter the way major film companies deal with different types of releases.
But, for the moment, that’s a discussion that’ll grow in 2018 and in the meantime… Welcome to Berlin 2052 – where dreams come true and man comes undone…. watch the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments below or over on our Critical Popcorn Twitter!
