Prepare yourself for Nicole Kidman as you’ve never seen her before in this wicked, powerful first trailer for Destroyer, that comes to cinemas in the States over Christmas and then, we’d expect, across to the UK in 2019.
Directed by Karyn Kusama, we follow the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell (Kidman) who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.

Destroyer co-stars Sebastian Stan, Toby Kebbell, Tatiana Maslany, Bradley Whitford, Jade Pettyjohn, and Scoot McNairy. There’s a truly epic teaser trailer coming up, let us know what you think in the comments below:

From Annapurna Pictures, Destroyer opens in theatres in New York and Los Angeles on December 25 and is set to expand in 2019, we’ll bring you the news of that as we hear it.
