As well as all things film, we’ve got a huge love for music of all genres… especially if it sounds epic and needs your ears! With that in mind, we’re surreptitiously guiding you towards US Alt-rock band Slothrust and their stirring sound, who are just finishing their first headlining UK tour this week, but if you’re quick you can catch them Friday (25th) in Brighton at the The Hope & Ruin and this Saturday 26th in Birmingham at the Sunflower Lounge.
Slothrust are fronted by uniquely talented Leah Wellbaum, alongside with drummer Will Gorin and bassist Kyle Bann. The LA based band, originally from Boston, have just released the mix below by Willy Beaman (Nicki Minaj/Demi Lovato) of their single ‘Double Down’ on 1st March on Dangerbird Records.
The original track (listen to that one here) is taken from their fourth full-length critically acclaimed album ‘The Pact’, produced and engineered by multi-Grammy award nominee Billy Bush (Garbage/The Naked & Famous/Neon Trees), and was released in September. Find out more by clicking here and, for one more moment, here’s a track I’m particularly obsessed by:

NB: If you like a bit of alt-rock and stoner rock, well, I always recommend Hombres Impossible on Sound Cloud! I particularly recommend Phong Kong Whooey and Peeping Tom.
