While I’m still a little unsure about how Toy Story 4 will pan out, despite adoring the trilogy and almost everything gone before, I am excited about an original Pixar project and today we’ve got the first trailer for Onward, coming to cinemas in March 2020, which is definitely worth a watch.
Directed by Dan Scanlon, who’s had more than a big involvement in Pixar for many years now, we’re taken into a suburban fantasy world, and introduced to two teenage elf brothers who ‘embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there.’
With a very slight hint of Matt Groening‘s entertaining Disenchantment on Netflix, but without all the death and on the ‘edge’ humour I’d assume, this is a funny trailer with an excess of spoilers (which I also prefer) and features the voices of Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer.
