After the initial teaser trailer released in March, scroll down for that, today we’ve got the first full trailer to share, for this higher anticipated series from Chazelle, and it’s looking packed with passion and music. Just the kind of thing I’d love, I hope! Check it out, everything you need is below…
You’ll know Damien Chazelle’s work already, whether it’s modern-day musical La La Land or the exceptional Whiplash, or the smartly created First Man, he’s a man in an stimulating creative spot right now. Next up for Chazelle is limited Netflix series The Eddy, an 8-part series that takes place in the vibrant multicultural neighbourhoods of modern-day Paris and while we only have a teaser trailer for The Eddy at the moment, it undoubtedly gives you a great sense of place of the world we’ll be heading into.
Starring André Holland, Joanna Kulig, Tahar Rahim, Leïla Bekhti and Amandla Stenberg, this has been a collaborative process that’s also involved Alan Poul, Houda Benyamina, Laïla Marrakchi and Jack Thorne, alongside the already legendary Glen Ballard, who wrote the songs and established The Eddy’s band which is composed of real-life musicians Randy Kerber, Ludovic Louis, Lada Obradovic, Jowee Omicil and Damian Nueva Cortes.
Designed to “convey the power of music to heal, unite and turn chaos into beauty” The Eddy also stars Melissa George, Adil Dehbi, Benjamin Biolay, Tchéky Karyo and rapper Sopico – Ttake a watch and let us you know your feelings, and if you’ll be tuning in, it comes to Netflix globally on 8th May
