Film / Film Trailers

The ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ trailer is here and it’s a lot of chaotic fun!

Opening in UK cinemas from 15 September, Venom: Let There Be Carnage definitely isn’t messing around! This looks like everything I could want from a Venom and Carnage film and you kinda feel that with Andy Serkis in the director’s chair, and knowing how important it is over how things ‘look’, we could have so much chaotic fun to come!

I enjoyed the Tom Hardy/Riz Ahmed/Michelle Williams Venom and while it definitely wasn’t perfect, a lot of strong groundwork was there to play with and it looks like they’ve taken that craziness and gone with it. This time around not only do we have Hardy’s Venom living his day-to-day life, and a lovely singing voice at home, we’ve now got the full introduction of Woody Harrelson‘s villain Cletus Kasady aka Carnage, who is Venom’s archenemy.

This trailer shows some huge moments, as they always do, but also some teasers over other possible links to Marvel goodness. You see, if you don’t know, Spider-Man and Venom are a big part of each others world, so with a squished spider, a quick shot of Stephen Graham and the Daily Bugle – incidentally in the same design as the Sam Raimi Spidey-world, could everything MCU be taking an even bigger shape? Maybe….

As well as the ace Michelle Williams returning, there’s also a big role for the excellent Naomie Harris, who’s playing Shriek, and let’s never forget Peggy Lu as Mrs Chen! Check out the trailer now, I love that poster also gets to the point, they’re not hiding on this one:
