Ah, wonderful news. Much like the tremendous The French Dispatch exhibition at 180 The Strand (that was back in October 2021 – see more here), I’m very pleased to share the news that Universal Pictures UK and 180 Studios are bringing an Asteroid City exhibition to London!

What can you expect to see? Well, from 17th June to 30th July, they’re promising original sets, props, miniatures, costumes and artwork featured in the film, and that the immersive exhibition will transport audiences into the world of Anderson’s 11th feature film, through installations displaying signature visuals and sounds, as well as an opportunity to dine out at the film’s iconic 1950’s diner, the Luncheonette!

If it’s an excellent as the TFD one was, you’re in a huge treat and I’m pretty darn convinced it’ll be so. There’s a level of detail in Anderson’s films right across the collaborative board and so a chance like this is a unique one that doesn’t always come along, so I’d highly recommend booking a spot quickly:

Tickets available via180studios.com/asteroid-city

You’ll also have the opportunity to pick up some limited edition Asteroid City merch, and you know that’ll be good as well and, yes, I’m already a fan!

Asteroid City takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955. The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.

Cast: Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan and Jeff Goldblum.

Asteroid City, from Focus Features and Indian Paintbrush, is in cinemas now in the UK and Ireland, for all our coverage so far, click here!
