Written and Directed by Chloe Domont, Fair Play is coming to UK cinemas on 6 October, followed by Netflix on 13 October, and takes us into the no-holds-barred world of investment deep in the city.

Starring Phoebe Dynevor, Alden Ehrenreich, and an evil-looking Eddie Marsan (who’s so good in those character roles), your trailer below reveals more about “a promotion at a cutthroat hedge fund pushes a young couple’s relationship to the brink, threatening to unravel far more than their recent engagement…”

Director Chloe Domont, also had this to say to ESQUIRE.COM

“Ultimately, this is a societal and systemic thing that needs to change. So many of us want to adhere to a modern, feminist, society, but we’re still raised with traditional ideals of masculinity. For the most part, we raise boys to believe that masculinity is an identity when it’s not. It’s an energy.”

She also spoke to Vanity Fair (read it here), had this point to make to:

“Why is it that even today, with all the progress that we’ve made, a man’s success is a win for the relationship, but when it’s the other way around, it feels like a threat? It felt like something that so many of us experience but are afraid to talk about and to confront.”

Nice and intense in its chemistry, with quite the hint of BBC Two’s Industry, I’m intrigued:

Fair Play comes to Netflix on 6 October, and in cinemas from 29 September
