Based on the book by Rumaan Alam, and written for the screen and directed by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, this new trailer for Leave The World Behind is curiously epic – and has the inklings of huge scope and invention – plus a deeply impressive cast, which makes me even more hopeful.

Leave The World Behind follows Amanda (played by Julia Roberts) and her husband Clay (Ethan Hawke), who rent a luxurious home for the weekend with their kids, Archie (Charlie Evans) and Rose (Farrah Mackenzie). Suddenly, their escape is sent into a strange place when G.H. (Mahershala Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Myha’la) arrive with news of a mysterious cyberattack and seeking refuge in the house they claim is theirs…
