There’s nothing quite like the world creation of George Miller, and now I’m very pleased to share the first look at his Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal Mad Max films.

Now Miller turns the page again with an all-new standalone adventure starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, plus Alyla Browne and Tom Burke, and takes us into the origins of the Charlize Theron-portrayed powerhouse, and their origins after witnessing them in Mad Max: Fury Road.

As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is co-written by Miller with Nico Lathouris, plus Miller produces with his longtime partner, Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell, under their Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga speeds into US theaters on May 24, 2024 and internationally beginning on 22 May, 2024

  1. Most anticipated movie for me in a long time. I really am not thrilled with the actress playing young Furiosa. Hemsworth looks so hot in that pic! Let’s see if they can make magic happen again like that in Fury Road, which I’ve watched an uncounted # of times. Is Miller’s wife doing the editing again? I sure hope so.

    1. Anya is first-class though, she’ll bring it. Have you seen The Witch? Very good to!

Pretty sure the same team as usual, they’re a unit!

      1. Haven’t seen The Witch as I heard it’s high on the scary scale, but I did see her and like her in The North Man (it took 2 watches to make me realize that’s a danged good movie.)

      2. Joy isn’t attractive enough to be a young Theron.
P.S. That would be “too”, not to.
