Our Gift Guides have already taken you through the latest speakers, music sound systems, and soundbars. Through some fun holiday Funko Pops! to Sir Patrick Stewart’s memoir and more, plus some Warner Bros 4K UHD greatness!

If you’re looking for last-minute group ideas then you’re in the right place as we take a look through a few options from London-based gift and games company, Bubblegum Stuff!

They crave Pop Culture like, er well, like we do… and so wanted to share a selection of their card games that are perfect for this time of year with gatherings galore.

While we’ve snuck in a Christmas-related Card Quiz in a moment, and it’s very good, there’s also film-related escapades and so let’s start with iykyk Trivia: Movies Edition, which is setup as the ultimate movie trivia game, and if there’s something we love at Critical Popcorn, it’s obviously a film-related game!

Iykyk Trivia: Movies Edition offers up lights, cameras and questions with 150 questions on small cards that’ll make some sibling power hungry, as they guard the answers from the cinephiles in your family. The questions delve through everything you can think of from mainstream blockbusters to smaller cinema, and it’s a genuine decent balance of all of the above.

Hitting ages of 10 and above, depending on the knowledge of course, it’s perfect for 2 players or beyond, so split up into teams and spend some time with snacks and musings! Obviously, our household has quite the intense movie knowledge, and I probably didn’t realise how much the cat knew either, and we fully enjoyed iykyk Trivia: Movies Edition!

Order yours by clicking here, it’s only £11.95!

Next up is Sloppy Synopsis, which is more or less as it sounds: Guess the badly described movie plots! Covering 55 iconic movies, can you name the film from the unusual depiction?

What’s particularly funny about Sloppy Synopsis is how brutally it reduces some very famous films down to a quite questionable setups. Sure, we all know the reality beneath the likes of Grease, Twilight or even Toy Story but these make you laugh when stripped down to their essentials.

If you can’t unravel the film, don’t worry, as the cards also contain a few clues to clarify those ponderings. This one would be particularly amusing with a few drinks, and realisations of those clues, and perfect for any time of year – yet you know you need to test them out this Christmas!

Buy your own Sloppy Synopsis Card Game here, it’s a fair £9.95

Talking of Christmas, as if anyone has mentioned it recently… to complete the trilogy of family fun games, we’ve got Merry Quizmas, and Bubblegum Stuff tell us it’s the ultimate Ho Ho Ho-liday (yeah, they went here) Trivia Game, and after a thorough testing of their promise, it’s another to enjoy!

Now, my film and music insight is slightly better than my seasonal understandings, but Merry Quizmas covers a wide range of Christmastime questions. It does include movies but also questions classic tinsel tunes, food and even traditions from everywhere in the world.

I’ll be certainly taking this with me to the various gatherings and will bring it out to test the minds of family and friends during a well-earned downtime.

The only thing I’d like from all three sets is a slightly stronger case for the whole game, as that’s a bit thinner, but there’s no complaints overall. But, on another positive, I particularly liked the extra little facts that accompany the answer, which gives you that real game-show host ego – but in a good-natured kinda way….

Pick up Merry Quizmas here, for a bargain £9.95!

**These card games were gifted to us from Bubblegum Stuff but these are my own views from testing, without any bias or separate agreement**
