Sure it’s streaming now on Netflix but The Kitchen needs your attention, and so never a bad idea in my book to share the most recent trailer but also because it’s highlighting both the film itself, and a little bit of the legendary Ian Wright in a vital role in Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Kaluuya‘s unique film.

Ian Wright as Lord Kitchener in The Kitchen

Starring Kane Robinson, and introducing Jedaiah Bannerman, this is a story of fatherhood and love for the community… Every city has a Kitchen, and in a dystopian London, the gap between rich and poor has been stretched to its limits.

Watch the trailer and stream it now:

The Kitchen is in select cinemas and on Netflix now

  1. Will be watching this now that I know it exists. It sure hasn’t shown up in my netflix banner as a new release. Not sure if you have been seeing what’s going on in the US down in Texas at the border with the governor installing razor concertina wire in the river so those from “south of the border” will be maimed or killed if they try to cross the river? The POTUS and the Supreme Court have ordered him to stop but he’s installing more.

    1. There’s some very good younger Brit talent getting a chance to make films properly now, it’s a good thing! Kaluuya first class actor to, check out anything he’s done to be honest.

And, holy crap, that’s a bit intense. There’s quite the high level of concern coming out of the States at the moment, lots of extreme things it seems, I hope all is okay where you are!

      1. I’ve seen Kaluuya in Get Out, Nope, Black Panther, and my favorite, Queen & Slim. Honestly, I had no idea he was a British actor!!!!!

I’m in Michigan, about as far away from TX as you can get, thank goodness. We have our fair share of magates though (magates is what I call the “make ‘merica great again” followers of the white devil with orange face straw hair) and some were caught plotting to k*dn*p our State gov a few years back. Every day is a new adventure, don’t you know.

  2. Update: I saw it right after posting in January. It held my attention and the main actors were good. Lots of food for thought from it.
