There’s something distinctively natural and grounded about this trailer for Sacha Polak‘s drama Silver Haze that speaks to the edges of a past life, and so – for me – it’s one worth keeping an eye out for – based on the reality it endeavours to perceive here.

Set up as an emotionally charged depiction of working-class life here in the UK, it stars Vicky Knight as Franky, a 23-year-old who works in the care industry and also is somewhat of the backbone for her family, living in East London.
While Franky also struggles with trauma from her childhood, her life also takes a turn when she strikes up a relationship with one of her patients, Florence (played by Esmé Creed-Miles), and the two head to Florence’s coastal hometown, where a supportive patchwork family welcomes them… check out the trailer:
