Oh man, there’s a moment in this trailer – even amongst general unease – where James McAvoy changes in a nanosecond and it shook! Keep an eye out during an outdoor table moment…
Some intro? Well, Speak No Evil, from Blumhouse who’ve produced the likes of The Invisible Man, Get Out, and The Black Phone, takes an American family invited to spend the weekend at the country estate of British family they befriended on vacation but, what feels like a dream, soon becomes a wrapped psychological nightmare. I mean, in some ways it’s like any family gathering if you live in a rural location but that’s a IYKYK situation.

Written and Directed by James Watkins, it’s based on the 2022 Danish horror sensation Gæsterne, written by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup, which I haven’t seen but very eager to dive into this version just as much.
Speak No Evil stars James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, Alix West Lefler, Dan Hough, and Scoot McNairy in this horror-thriller that’s bound to have you on the edge of your seat…
Speak No Evil comes to UK and Irish cinemas on 12 September from Universal Pictures
