Fresh off the huge success of the new Tom Holland-starring Spider-Man trilogy, Jon Watts is taking on the writing and directing duties of this cool-looking crime-caper that, from the trailer, has a little essence of the Coen Brothers mixed up with Ocean’s Eleven – so you can see why the leading actors are George Clooney and Brad Pitt, as it’s right up their alley, so to speak.

While the title of the film, Wolfs, may make any English language loving person crack out their ‘it should be WOLVES!’, I think there’s a context applied in this circumstance – even though it’ll certainly be the go-to question in those early interviews. The context? Well, that comes into play in the synopsis:

Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.

Ergo… Individuals > Lone Wolves > Together but doing their own thing = WOLFS.

Yup. Also co-starring Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan, the trailer seems fun enough, have a look:

Wolfs comes to cinemas, from Sony and Apple TV, on 20 September
