OH I’m definitely terrifying and excited for this one! After a few years of decent Alien-escapades, which is something that only really sounds ‘enjoyable, yet not mind-blowing’, it now feels like writer/director Fede Alvarez is going back to basics with the Xenomorph Universe (Xenouniverse?) in Alien: Romulus – and I’m all in, like a facehugger making friends….

In the film, while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe….

Starring Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, Aileen Wu, Alvarez directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues, based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett, have a watch now:

Alien: Romulus arrives from producer Ridley Scott nationwide from 16 August
