Prepare to be (hopefully) entertained. It’s finally happening, as Mescal and Pascal are on the big screen together in Gladiator II! It definitely feels like an epic, from the directorial playbook of one Ridley Scott, returning to the scene of the legend with a story from Peter Craig and David Scarpa, the latter who also wrote the screenplay.

With those characters created by David Franzoni, Gladiator II promises to continue the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people….

The film also co-stars Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, with Connie Nielsen and the mighty Denzel Washington – take a watch now and click here for a whole host of character posters and images!
