The genuinely compelling first season of The Last of Us was a TV show worth embedding yourself into, whether you knew, or had played, the original Playstation game it was based on, it didn’t matter as the story was central. So, it’s good to see it return, and this new teaser trailer certainly sets the mood once again, and looks amazing!

Can you believe that it was originally January 2023 that our reviewer, Matt, got a first look and things looked promising, and then the deserved hype grew, like the cordyceps virus itself… and there’s a lot of unknown heading into Season 2, for me anyway, and I’m always happy to enjoy a new series that way.
So, as it’s 26 September, which is the date when the cataclysmic events of The Last of Us first kicked off with Outbreak Day, Season 2 returns to Sky in 2025 with the returning cast of Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria, plus the new cast which includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and also the spectacular duo of Jeffrey Wright and Catherine O’Hara.
Written and exec produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, we setup after five years of peace, but also focusing on Joel and Ellie, and how their collective past catches up, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind. …
