I’ve found the trajectory of Pamela Anderson particularly interesting in recent years, where a long overdue shift in culture has gradually started to open up discussions and questions of public image, mental health and all that’s linked – mostly for the better, but with a long way to go.

In this trailer for Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl, Anderson plays Shelly, a seasoned showgirl, who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run but as a dancer in her fifties, she struggles with what to do next. And, in her other life as a mother, she strives to repair a strained relationship with her daughter, who often took a backseat to her showgirl family…
The film also stars Kiernan Shipka, Brenda Song, Billie Lourd, with Dave Bautista and and Jamie Lee Curtis – Watch the trailer now, it’s got a deep indie vibe:
