Just when I think I’m out… I’m back into another exciting Jurassic-related adventure, and this trailer for Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World Rebirth does hold all the good things I’d hope for – and it comes to cinemas on 2 July!
While we clearly always slip into trepidation, in all the different ways, for a new Jurassic film, this certainly films like a new era and especially after the previous trilogy of Jurassic World films came to a conclusion – and I highly recommend the Jurassic World Dominion extended edition (reviewed here) for a much stronger, cohesive story.
Not content with huge stars along the journey, Jurassic World Rebirth has brought together one hell of a strong cast, led by Scarlett Johansson, alongside man of the moment Jonathan Bailey plus the superb Mahershala Ali, all signed up for a script from original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp.

And it’s a classic setup! This time around, it’s a mission-based adventure, which sees the team trying to secure DNA samples from three colossal creatures across land, sea and air, which live within the tropical biosphere and might just hold the key to a drug that could bring life-saving benefits to humankind.
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.
The cast also stars Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, plus Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain and Ed Skrein – Get your teeth into this one:
Jurassic World Rebirth is based on characters created by Michael Crichton. The film is produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, both longtime Jurassic franchise producers. The film is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer.
