It feels good to be excited for Superman again, after the constant fear of what a certain ZS might do next, despite any genuine intentions (and I always liked Man of Steel) but the rest often lacked in true connection, drowning in style over substance – but I feel that James Gunn knows what the heart of these stories mean, as we’ve seen it in in other films, often arriving from the most unexpected places.

Coming to UK and Irish cinemas in the UK on 11th July, from Warner Bros. Pictures, this new extended clip is deeply promising, with a true sense of scale and personality, Krypto the Superdog, and an impressive Fortress of Solitude! Starring David Corenswet as the titular character, the film also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
Superman is DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, under the new world of Peter Safran and Gunn producing, with Gunn also directing from his own screenplay. All, of course, based on those characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
