In the intrigued and fearful anticipation for 28 Years Later, from director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland, something has appeared…

Just before dawn, a giant biohazard symbol lit up the hillside beneath the silhouetted Penshaw Monument in Sunderland – an unsettling sight that froze early risers and dog walkers in place. No warning. No explanation.
Just the mark.
To fans of the 28 Days Later universe, it’s unmistakable – a chilling emblem of the Rage virus, symbolising outbreak, collapse, and uncontrolled infection.
Whispers are quickly spreading of Rage contaminations across the UK – from the windswept cliffs of Tynemouth to the shadowed depths of Kielder Forest and the ruins of Arbeia Roman Fort. Warnings to “remain vigilant” are surfacing, and the presence of the symbol has ignited fears of a fictional contagion making a very real return.
While no official statement has been released, there is growing speculation that this may be connected to 28 Years Later – the highly anticipated film sequel starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes, ahead of its world premiere this week….
