Coming to cinemas on 10 October, from Disney, the iconic Nine Inch Nails have taken on the TRON: Legacy Daft Punk mantel and it fits perfectly. The first official music from the band for five years, they’ve composed the score for the film, and have released the welcome As Alive As You Need Me To Be as a lead single, enjoy this to get things going:
“TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack),” features all original music by Nine Inch Nails, will be released on September 19 via Interscope Records (order here). Unbelievably, this is the bands first film score, despite Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross separate work, of course, as they’ve amassed 20 scores under their own names.
In TRON: Ares, we follow a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. Directed by
The feature film is directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges. Check out the latest trailer and all-new poster below:
