It’s been 84 years... wait, it hasn’t but – for me – I’ve enjoyed having to wait for bigger, bolder and more complete stories! Saying this, it has actually been 9 years since its summer debut, and I remember indulging it all on that first weekend, but I don’t think any of us could have predicted the wealth of enjoyment and pop culture status that Stranger Things holds today.

This November, the final chapter begins, and Netflix and the Duffer Brothers are giving us Stranger Things 5 over three premiere dates with Volume 1 on 27th November (four episodes), Volume 2 on Boxing Day (three episodes) and The Finale on New Year’s Day! So, here’s your summary and synopsis:
- Volume 1: 27th November 2025 @1AM GMT
- Volume 2: 26th December 2025 @1AM GMT
- The Finale: 1st January 2025 @1AM GMT
The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.
Created by The Duffer Brothers, the mighty cast includes Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Brett Gelman (Murray), Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler), Amybeth McNulty (Vickie), Nell Fisher (Holly Wheeler), Jake Connelly (Derek Turnbow), Alex Breaux (Lt. Akers), and Linda Hamilton (Dr. Kay) – here’s that official teaser and some additional stills just below:

Stranger Things 5 will be the final season, but there’s still a mass of good stuff out there for you to enjoy, including the stage play: Stranger Things: The First Shadow; an animated series; a collection of books; the touring Stranger Things Experience which expands to Brazil and Australia this year; and a global assortment of lifestyle products and brand collaborations.
Folks also celebrate 6 November 6 – the day Will Byers went missing – as ‘Stranger Things Day,’ a special day to share their love for the world!
New to the game? Where do I go?
