It’s Christmas time… and with that line, the song is in your head! It’s like I’m some kind of Derren Brown or, wait for it, maybe a Jedi? Maybe The Last Jedi? You see where this is going, right?
Hot off the Star Wars: The Last Jedi merchandise tower, we’ve been taking a look at Paladone’s latest offerings that tie in with the release of the highly, hugely, massively anticipated Episode VIII and they’ve smartened up some classic ideas and added one or two more subtle and effective ones alongside. If you saw our previous coverage of some great Paladone goodies, you might have had your eye caught by the R2-D2 mini-lights, well, this time you’ve got a Chewbacca one – hhhrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaggh!

Grab your Chewbacca: http://amzn.to/2BXlKEO
They’ve also got the rather great-looking, and sounded BB-8 Alarm Clock, complete with official BB-8 alarm ‘sound’ which is, of course, BB’s rather specific noises which fit really well, see the pics below! It’s more plastic than metal, but still feels decently sturdy and would fit for a kid 6 years and up really – obviously it’s also BB-8, so depends on how much they loved him/her from The Force Awakens!

Pick up the Alarm Clock here: http://amzn.to/2nHe0E1
Next up are Paladone’s drink coasters but these aren’t your normal ones, they’ve The Last Jedi lenticular ones which means if you turn them, or look at them from different angles, they show a different image – my picture shows the two merging but they’re still pretty solid. The images range across the light and dark sides of Star Wars, including droids, Chewbacca, Jedi Knights and baddies in a set of four!

These are good, solid buy at £3.99 and can be found on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2ySgdQE
Finally, to continue the drinks theme, is the R2-D2 Travel Mug which is reasonably self-explanatory and because of its nature to carry hot liquids, is one for the older SW fan in your life! They appear to be around a tenner online: http://amzn.to/2kePG7z
Not finished with the warm-drinks-connection, I also really like the Stormtrooper Vacuum Flash which is enough for a couple of cups (lids!) of tea or coffee, and maybe even soup if you fancy it. Another for the adult fan of the franchise in your life but this is a real solid product and surprisingly good value: http://amzn.to/2ySpbgP for what you’re getting. It’s described as ‘multi-coloured’ but it’s quite dark, and more just a black/purple and works perfectly at 500ml and a proper, tight lid to keep it warm out there in the cold.
