Reviews: Paladone’s Harry Potter Patronus Luminart, Batman Infinity Light and Star Wars mini-lights

After my recent exploration of things to light up the winter darkness, here’s some more bright merch that the Star Wars, Batman or Harry Potter fan in your life might love! Why not think of it as an idea for Christmas! Yes, I said the word… it’s mid-November already!

Below find our review, alongside a closer look with a picture gallery for each – want more feedback? Leave a comment and I’ll do my best to answer!

Got a friend or family member who loves a bit of Batman, and wants to add something to the beginnings of a Bat-cave of their very own? You can’t really go wrong with the Batman Infinity Light which is nicely framed and creates one of those cool optical illusion where it appears to go into the horizon forever, as it’s described, and is also looks the part.

We’ve had a close look and it’s a strong little structure and powered by either 3 AA Batteries, or you can plug it in via a USB and it’ll light up into infinity, or until you unplug it of course. Furthermore, as other options, it stands well on its own or has indented spaces on the back which means it could also be wall mounted. We really do like this one or kids, or adults, or the secret vigilante in your life. As you can see, the effect really works!

Batman Infinity Light from Paladone is available nationwide and from gifts.hawkin.com and Amazon: http://amzn.to/2inUbvG or further details visit paladone.com

Next up is these Star Wars ‘mini-light’ that surely any kid would like if they love some Star Wars goodness. We’ve been looking at the RS-D2 mini-light and although basic in its intentions, everyone loves that little droid and his unique voice/sounds don’t they?

This mini-light is a perfect addition to any shelf, sideboard, glass cabinet of SW love or however else you want to display it. It’s approx. 4.5 inches high and cylindrical which just needs a little push down to throw out the sound, depending on which model you pick up as there’s also Chewbacca, a Stormtrooper, BB-8 and more out there as well. Simply powered by 3 AAA batteries, it’s a fun addition for the shelf and recommended from ages 6 and up.

Finally, and we all know someone who loves Harry Potter or has just started the books, so Paladone’s light canvas box shows off his Patronus as a ‘Luminart’ with that famous, and somewhat iconic, stag Patronus, as first seen in the Prisoner of Azkaban.

This 20cm x 30cm light-up canvas does look really nice from a distance but I’m not sure if the ‘Harry Potter’ logo takes the glory away a little bit, I personally would have also liked the Stag to be a little more focused around its ‘light-up’ ability because it basically lights up the entire canvas instead but, that being said, it’s a good quality item but could benefit from a slight re-working. Either way, and like the Bat-light, it can either stand or be mounted on the wall.

I’d also like to point out that in a dark room, the Stag shines out over the logo, so it still does the job!

A fun buy for all Potterheads and mere muggles alike, the Harry Potter Patronus Luminart is available nationwide and from www.very.co.uk  or Amazon: http://amzn.to/2zd9O35
