Yes, I went with the terrible pun for the headline, of course I did but it’s worth it because these first shots of BBC One’s Dracula really are something to die for, #SorryNotSorry, just check out how spectacular Claes Bang as Count Dracula looks!
Filming is currently underway on the forthcoming three-part series. Commissioned by BBC One, Dracula – written by Sherlock’s Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat – will be produced by Hartswood Films and is a co-production between BBC One and Netflix.
Also, joining the reinvention of Bram Stoker’s iconic tale are Lyndsey Marshal (The League of Gentlemen), Chanel Cresswell (This Is England), Matthew Beard (An Education, The Imitation Game), Lydia West (Years & Years), Paul Brennen (Wild Bill), Sarah Niles (Catastrophe), Sofia Oxenham (Poldark), John McCrea (God’s Own Country), Phil Dunster (Humans, Save Me) and television newcomer Millicent Wong.
They will appear opposite Claes Bang in the role of Dracula, and a cast which already includes John Heffernan, Joanna Scanlan, Dolly Wells, Sacha Dhawan, Jonathan Aris, Morfydd Clark and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett!
