Critical popcorn

It’s great news for all Wes Anderson fans (myself included!) as his next feature, The French Dispatch, has been acquired by Fox Searchlight Pictures for global distribution upon its completion!

As you’d expect, Wes has already gathered one hell of an impressive cast with the likes of Benicio Del Toro, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Adrien Brody, Timothée Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Tilda Swinton, Mathieu Amalric, Lyna Khoudri, Stephen Park, Owen Wilson and (Yaaass!) Bill Murray, ready for his next adventure. This one is described as:

A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city and brings to life a collection of stories published in “The French Dispatch” magazine.  

This isn’t the first time Fox Searchlight and production company Indian Paintbrush have teamed up, after previously working together on Isle of Dogs, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Fantastic Mr Fox. Get ready for a whole new set of quirky, original characters with (surely) an amusing and heartfelt story from Anderson and his team.

The French Dispatch will open its pages in 2020.
