Tom Holland. That’s it. What a legend already and in this new team up with his Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo, in Cherry, he’s taking up his talent another level.
Holland stars as the title-character Cherry, a disenfranchised young man who meets love of his life Emily, only to risk losing her through a series of bad decisions and circumstances. Inspired by the best-selling novel of the same name, by Nico Walker, we follow him as his drifts out out of college and goes to serve in Iraq as an Army medic, with his only balance being Emily (Ciara Bravo). But when he returns home, the desperate demons of undiagnosed PTSD take hold and he spirals into drug addiction…
Described as a ‘darkly humorous, unflinching coming-of-age story of a man on a universal quest for purpose and human connection‘, this has so much going on, take a look below now and watch it on Apple TV+ from 12th March:
saw this last night.Tom Holland’s performance is incredible. A real tour-de-force of emotions. However I thought the film was a bit all over the place, not without merits, but it tries too hard.

Ah good to hear, he’s a great young talent for sure – I suspect it’s VERY dramatic in places?
