Based on the bestselling novel by Robert Harris, Munich – The Edge of War is directed by Christian Schwochow and has a fine cast leading the way, that includes George MacKay, Jannis Niewöhner, Jeremy Irons, Jessica Brown Findlay, Sandra Hüller, and Anjli Mohindra, and today we get our first-look at the film that debuts this week at the London Film Festival!

Set in the autumn of 1938, Munich – The Edge of War finds Europe standing on the brink of war, with Hitler ready to invade Czechoslovakia and Neville Chamberlain’s (Irons) government desperately seeks a peaceful solution. With the pressure building, British civil servant Hugh Legat (MacKay) and German diplomat Paul von Hartmann (Niewöhner) travel to Munich for the emergency Conference.

As negotiations begin, the two old friends find themselves at the centre of a web of political subterfuge and very real danger. With the whole world watching, can war be averted and, if so, at what cost? Here’s your first look at this very interesting, upcoming World War 2 drama:
