It’s difficult for me to be even remotely measured and balanced when it comes to Jurassic Park (and World) because I love the franchise, even if JP3 is a little messy. After 2015’s Jurassic World brought Michael Crichton’s creation back to life once more, I was excited for Fallen Kingdom and do like sections of what was created but it’s unbalanced, despite a lot of fun. Now, even though it has been out for a few days, I couldn’t let the chance pass to share the amazing prologue for Jurassic World: Dominion, that hits cinemas on the 10 June, 2022.

This 5-minute special is directed by Dominion director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow, with our other writing being Emily Carmichael, and reportedly this setup isn’t featured in the film itself but as original content, as it sets us up for the film next year. We’re taken back 65 million years go see a host of new dinosaurs never-before-seen in a Jurassic film, before coming back to ‘now’ and then crash through into an outdoor movie theatre – with screams-aplenty.

With a score from Michael Giacchino, I love how this is a tease of more to come and can’t wait until next summer, watch the prologue now, and also I’ve added that teaser just below:

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard star as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing and are joined by Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum, who reprise their roles as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm. The film also stars the legendary BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, as well as Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman and DeWanda Wise.

Jurassic World: Dominion comes to cinemas from 11 June 2022
