If you’ve read any of my posts on Christopher Nolan, then you’ll know there’s no doubting my commitment to sparkle motion. Sure, it’s pure luck that his filmography has also accompanied my personal timeline, and I’d loved it if was the likes of Steven Spielberg, but I’m happy in the knowledge that Nolan’s work continues to intrigue and excite – and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping if this emotive, contemplative trailer for Oppenheimer is anything to go by.
Hitting cinemas on 21st July 2023, and also importantly in IMAX, Oppenheimer is based on Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin‘s biography of theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, and the story of his place in the development of the atomic bomb. Cillian Murphy stars as the scientist who had a central role in modern history, and even how the world is today. As well as Murphy, the film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Jack Quaid, Dane DeHaan, Josh Hartnett, and David Dastmalchian.
