Having gone on about True Detective as a series for quite some years now, although Season 2 was unfortunately forgettable, after the Mahershala Ali excellence in Season 3, I figured the ‘world’ of TD had come to a conclusion but I’m actually really glad to say, not yet!

True Detective: Night Country brings in Issa López as showrunner, writer, and director of all six episodes, and it stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis – coming to Sky Atlantic and NOW from 15 January 2024 – Your synopsis….
When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.
Alongside Foster and Reis, there’s co-starring roles for Finn Bennett, Fiona Shaw, Christopher Eccleston, Isabella Star LaBlanc, John Hawkes, Anna Lambe, Aka Niviâna, June Thiele, Diane Benson, and Joel D. Montgrand!
