Today we’ve got the trailer for documentary The Mountain Within Me, in what looks like a strong tale of fighting against adversity, in the face of life-threatening injuries, and also people being told that they can’t do things… but trying anyway – which hits all the right levels of inspiration!

From Universal Pictures Content Group and Dogwoof, The Mountain Within Me, follows former professional rugby player Ed Jackson who, after suffering a catastrophic and almost fatal spinal cord injury, went on an astonishing journey as he endeavoured to recover, and eventually achieve the mental and physical heights of Snowdonia, the Alps and Himalayas, alongside the life-altering challenges closer to home.

The film comes to UK cinemas on 23rd August, preview Q&A screenings will tour the country from 19 August, and have a watch of the trailer here:

From multi-award-winning director, Polly Steele and producer, George Chignell, this documentary follows Ed, and his wife Lois, as they undertake an extraordinary journey through the past and present and honestly discuss their future and the impact of living with a disability.
