Now this looks like the perfect documentary for now, and all the good reasons of humanity – when kindness and compassion are the best traits anyone can have. Directed by Josh Greenbaum, Will & Harper follows Will Ferrell and his close friend, former head writer at SNL, Harper Steele as they embark on a cross-country road trip together.
If we flashback 3 years ago, Ferrell was filming and received a surprising email: his dear friend of nearly 30 years was coming out to him as a trans woman. That friend was Harper, a writer he met on his first day at Saturday Night Live back in 1995, and their friendship and creative partnership would only continue to grow over the next 3 decades.

This trailer looks lovely, and honest, and heartfelt – as the documentary takes us along on their journey, to see them both push past their comfort zones as they re-examine their relationships to these spaces, and to each other, in this new light.
Edited by Monique Zavistovski, with DoP Zoë White, the documentary also features Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig, Colin Jost, Will Forte, Molly Shannon, Tim Meadows, and Paula Pell – Watch the trailer now
