It’s a hell of a way to celebrate the holiday season but the first trailer for Alien: Covenant is here… and it’s looking for you with some very bloody, haunting visuals along the way.
Ridley Scott returns to direct the follow-up to prequel Prometheus in a film that’s reportedly set to ‘directly link’ to Alien, his 1979 masterpiece. This time we join the crew of the colony ship Covenant, which is bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy where they’ll discover what they think is an uncharted paradise. I adore the Alien world, and was actually a fan of Prometheus, so I’ll probably be biased and enjoy this even if the trailer might be showing a little too much, it’s still exciting to ponder over the entire world connecting up.
Michael Fassbender returns, with Noomi Rapace in a role that’s not been fully clarified yet (possibly video diaries?), alongside Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollet, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
Alien: Covenant is in cinemas from 19 May 2017 – Check out their official Facebook page.
