Stephen Gaghan, best known as the writer for the likes of Traffic, Syriana and Rules of Engagement, has this time taken on directing mighty man of the moment Matthew McConaughey on the search for his own American dream in Gold, and today we’ve got the Blu-ray/DVD and digital download details for upcoming UK release on 5 June and 29 May respectively.

Based on a true story, McConaughey plays Kenny Wells, a man whose entrepreneurial spirit drives him to search for his fortune in the jungles of Borneo, Indonesia, but what happens when the so-called American Dream turns into a waking nightmare? Well… with a stellar co-starring cast that includes Edgar Ramirez, Bryce Dallas Howard, Corey Stoll and Toby Kebbell, this really is one of those films that they call almost ‘too good to be true’ but you know, these things can and do happen!
