Last month BFI Player, the BFI’s unique Video On Demand service, launched The Cut, which is a monthly series of new short films featuring nine high-profile artistic creators lauded for success in their respective creative spheres – from fashion and music to science, art and design – and, most importantly, all have a passion for film and chose the titles that have most inspired them.
Free to view on BFI Player, The Cut launched with British designer Es Devlin and today with the already legendary British physicist Prof Brian Cox. Running from January to December 2018, The Cut offers us an insights into how the lives and careers of iconic and respected creatives have been influenced by film. Each of their chosen films will then be found on BFI Player, introducing audiences to titles they might not have been aware of or were hesitant to explore.
We’re confident to say that Brian Cox is a particularly interesting one, given his excitement and passion for all things Sci-Fi and, indeed, all his film choices fall within the genre. Watch below and click here to sign up for more!
