I’ve been a long-time admirer of Robin Wright and it’s been great to see her go from strength to strength, and build an outstanding body of work. While this certainly isn’t her first-time behind the camera, Land is her directorial debut feature and it’s coming to cinemas in the UK from 4 June!
Land is the poignant story of one woman’s search for meaning in the vast and harsh American wilderness. Edee Holzer (Wright), finds herself in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, and unable to stay connected to the world she once knew. With much uncertainty, she retreats to the magnificent wilds of the Rockies and after a local hunter (Demián Bichir) brings her back from the brink of death, she must find a way to live again….
Written by Jesse Chatham and Erin Digman, Wright and Bichir are also joined by in the cast by Sarah Dawn Pledge and Kim Dickens, watch the trailer now:
