Today, we’ve got the first look at Susanna Fogel’s genre-bending thriller, Cat Person, from STUDIOCANAL!

Set to receive its World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival in January 2023, the film is adapted by Michelle Ashford from The New Yorker’s acclaimed short story by Kristen Roupenian, and stars the excellent Emilia Jones, alongside Nicholas Braun, Geraldine Viswanathan, Fred Melamed, Hope Davis, Liza Koshy, Michael Gandolfini, and Isabella Rossellini, here’s a little official insight:

When Margot (Emilia Jones), a college sophomore goes on a date with the older Robert (Nicholas Braun), she finds that IRL Robert doesn’t live up to the Robert she has been flirting with over texts. CAT PERSON is a razor-sharp exploration of the gender divide, the quagmire of navigating modern dating and the dangerous projections we make in our minds about the person at the other end of our phones.
