In terms of coming to the small screen, Batman: Knightfall has been a long-time coming. Originally published across 1993-94, this is absolute classic Batman, a saga split into Knightfall, Knightquest, and KnightsEnd – and now it’s been confirmed that it’ll hit streaming and Home Entertainment later this year, as an animated event, for the very first time!

This will be a three-part movie event bringing to life one of the most iconic stories in the rich history of Batman comics. From DC, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, it’ll begin with Part One of the trilogy, Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall, which also recently premiered Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

When the mysterious behemoth known only as Bane frees Batman’s entire Rogue’s Gallery from Arkham Asylum, the Caped Crusader is pushed to his mental and physical breaking point. 

Based on characters from DC and the DC Comic Book Event, Batman: Knightfall by Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Alan Grant, Dennis O’Neil, Peter David, Jo Duffy, Jim Aparo, Graham Nolan, Norm Breyfogle, and Jim Balent.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall is directed by Jeff Wamester and written by Jeremy Adams, and stars the talents of Michael Mando as Bane, Anson Mount as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Pablo Schreiber as Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael
