We’re super excited for the release of Black Panther, the latest superhero offering from Marvel Studios. Having whetted our appetite for the character in the superb Captain America: Civil War in 2016, Black Panther marks the first solo outing for King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and promises a very unique and altogether special superhero movie.
The kind folks at Marvel Studios have released an exciting, action-packed clip from the upcoming film to keep those appetites whetted, plus an tantalizing featurette featuring Director Ryan Coogler (Creed) and the cast discussing the fictional nation of Wakanda, a key location in the story of the Black Panther. You can check both videos out below:
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.
But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
