Go behind-the-scenes on Top Gun: Maverick with this outstanding Aviation Featurette

Real Flying. Real G-Forces. Pure Adrenaline.

Monica Barbaro and Cruise on set from Paramount Pictures, Skydance & Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

Tom Cruise. Instantly an absolute hero of cinema across the globe and also a wonderfully crazy film-lover who’ll push himself to the VERY edge of his own life to bring us the good stuff. Why do I say this? Just watch this new aviation featurette to be blown away, once again –Top Gun: Maverick comes to cinemas on 17 July 2020, currently the same day as Nolan’s Tenet, and so what a summer this could be!

This new behind-the-scenes really takes your breath away with what they appear to have achieved, and this isn’t even the film… yet. Taking us inside the cockpit, watch as Cruise flies, flips upside down and feels the full G-force of everything he’s putting on himself. Absolutely remarkable, and shot on IMAX, this is surely set to be very unique indeed:

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, starring Cruise alongside Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis and Ed Harris.

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”.

Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

Top Gun: Maverick opens in the summer of 2020!
