Considering his legendary status, I feel like I’ve not seen Samuel L Jackson outside the MCU for a while now, so this is marvellous news – as The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is a poignant project, and it comes to Apple TV+ from 11 March.
While we’d previously shared the first look, now we’ve got the stirring first trailer as well, and woah!
In the 6-episode series based on the best-selling novel by Walter Mosley, who also writes the screenplay, Jackson plays title character Ptolemy (pronounced to-luh-mee), an old man forgotten by his family, friends and even himself. Sinking into an isolated dementia, he’s assigned the care of teenager Robyn, played by Dominique Fishback (who was superb in Judas and the Black Messiah). After discovering a treatment that help with Ptolemy’s lost memories, we’ll join them on a journey towards shocking truths about the past, present and beyond…
While we don’t have a trailer yet, here’s your first look at this drama that’s bound to get us captivated. The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey also stars Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Damon Gupton, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Walton Goggins, and Omar Miller.
