Watch the first 8 minutes of Stranger Things Season 4 now

Woah, this is impressively dark! The first 8 minutes of Stranger Things Season 4 is officially here, and all the previous goodness is over here, but for the moment, stay, enjoy (?) eight minutes of chaos below. With the huge finale of everything on the way, this feels like an excellent prologue really rather than any old spoiler, that also makes sense once you see what goes down.

Stranger Things S4 is over 5 hours longer than any previous season, and the supersized series launches with Volume I on May 27 and includes episodes 401-407, with Volume II’s epic conclusion includes episodes 408-409 on July 1!

While, overall, it sets us up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins, there’s also a number of other stories to tell and conclude. As an overlook, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time in many ways, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down… enjoy:
