One of the most welcome surprise sleeper hits of recent years, I’m very excited that Only Murders in the Building returns this August 8, for Season 3, on Disney+ here in the UK!
Being a huge fan of all Steve Martin work growing up, and his excellent dysfunctional friendship with Martin Short, that duo were already setup for something interesting and when adding Selena Gomez, it’s an excellent trio that feels like it shouldn’t necessary work – but it really, really does.

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, and if you’ve been watching, you’ll know that after a grisly death occurs in their Upper West Side apartment building, Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) end up coming together to try and solve the mystery, due to their mutual love of true crime, and decide to record it as a podcast… which picks up traction online, and followers!
This time around, the trio are investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show, where Hollywood star Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) debut on the board is cut short… Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), our trio embarks on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempts to put his show back together.
I cannot wait, 8 August, we’ll see you there, Disney+ for the first two episodes!

The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
