Whilst I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of everything Zack Snyder’s done since, there’s no denying that his version of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ (alongside colourist John Higgins), iconic, cult-classic graphic novel really hit the spot in terms of inspired adaptations.
It’s interesting timing that his ‘Ultimate Cut’ is released now, considering the support for the Snyder-cut campaign from die-hard Justice League fans grown substantially in recent weeks and obviously the success of the HBO TV series, and Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut is definitely something I’d be interested in seeing, when it comes to Blu-ray 25th November and standard 4K Ultra HD and an exclusive 4K Steelbook on 2nd December.
Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut will inter-cut scenes from the animated Tales of the Black Freighter into the Director’s Cut of Watchmen for a new and exciting viewing experience, with the 4K Steelbook exclusive includes six all-new exclusive character cards, as well as a decal of the iconic Comedian’s badge.
