It’s been 20 years since the release of the absolute cult-classic Trainspotting and although it initially seemed like getting the gang together was an unusual idea, this first trailer for T2 (Trainspotting 2) is an utter beauty and really fuels the fire of wanting to know what happened after Renton decided to (kinda) choose life.
Talking of that infamous ‘Life’ speech, it’s immediately clear that they’ve updated the model as we see not only director Danny Boyle return but also the original cast of Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle. Have things changed? Well… there’s definitely the question of betrayal first and foremost. Quick synopsis and then that trailer, do let us know what you think!
Mark Renton (McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Bremner), Sick Boy (Miller), and Begbie (Carlyle).
Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.
T2 Trainspotting opens in UK cinemas on 27th January 2017. Find more on their official FB page and this one #T2Trainspotting
